In a small Texas town, a nightclub performer collapses on stage, only to be cared for by a compassionate rancher. As they grow closer, they decide to get married, but their joy is fleeting when the rancher departs to join a posse, leaving the performer feeling abandoned and desperate.

Violet La Tour, a nightclub performer, collapses on stage in Sagebrush, Texas, and is taken to the ranch of Lon Dixon, where they fall deeply in love and get married. However, when Lon leaves to join a posse in search of rustlers, Violet feels abandoned and returns to her life in New York. Despite being courted by her agent, Maurice Kane, she ultimately chooses to reunite with Lon when he arrives to win her back.
