Julia, a talented young violinist, struggles with an abusive relationship and the weight of a potential Baltimore Symphony audition. After a botched surgery leaves her left hand paralyzed, she and her father take legal action against the doctor and hospital, but they lose the case and discover a web of corruption. Consumed by anger and personal demons, Julia's father becomes obsessed with building a pair of metal hands equipped with deadly weapons in his workshop.
