A quiet man, Centaur, leads a simple life in a small Kyrgyzstan village with his deaf-mute wife Maripa and their silent son. Despite being a respected member of the community, Centaur harbors a deep-seated guilt and believes his people's misuse of power has led to a curse. He steals horses at night, praying for forgiveness, in an attempt to break the curse. However, his secret cannot remain hidden forever, and when the truth is revealed, Centaur must choose the fate of his family, community, and his own.
