The start of a new year at Harrison High, where teachers face the challenges of their profession. Mr. Stroope, a self-conscious teacher, aims to be named "Teacher of the Year" but struggles with his students' advanced vocabulary. Meanwhile, Mr. Lowrey's History class is a disaster, as he's inexperienced and socially awkward, with students only interacting with him to steal his chalk. Coach Webb, a P.E. teacher, longs for romantic company and feels neglected by her former best friend, the new assistant principal, Mrs. Reddell, who is consumed by her new role.
