Mickey Lofton, a young man with a fear of thunderstorms, fails to join the Canadian Air Corps after a childhood incident. His half-brother, Jerry, a Captain in the US Department of Justice, is tasked with capturing border oil smugglers. Jerry befriends Raoul McGuire, a suspect, and joins the gang. Mickey falls in love with Raoul's sister, Molly.
