As the railroad approaches, Carter schemes to take over the rancher's land. However, Bob and Chito return just in time to rescue Banker Stockton and his fortune from Carter's goons. Stockton then lends the ranchers money, but Carter orchestrates their destruction. Bob uncovers Carter's involvement and takes matters into his own hands when Saunders, Carter's henchman, is identified.
