A wealthy couple, Pratap and Parvati, live in a mansion with their mother-in-law, Maharani. After a disagreement, Parvati leaves and moves in with another couple, Dr. Bharati and his wife. Pratap abducts Parvati's newborn son, Shankar, and later patches things up with Parvati, who brings an orphaned boy, Shomu, into their household. As the two boys grow up, they become close friends, but their friendship is met with resistance from Pratap. The story takes a dramatic turn when Shomu falls ill, and Parvati is forced to choose between her love for her sons and her marriage.
