In the aftermath of the Pony Express's disbandment, Tennessee and Johnny part ways, with Tennessee becoming the Deputy Marshal in Adobe Wells and Johnny joining an outlaw gang. However, their friendship is put to the test when Tennessee catches Johnny attempting murder, and despite giving him a second chance, Johnny's rebellious nature ultimately leads to a tragic confrontation.
