A 16-year-old boy, Nassim, is taken in by a suburban family after his mother's death from a drug addiction. Despite being surrounded by a new social environment, Nassim struggles to fit in and instead creates a fictional identity for himself, mirroring his peers at a prestigious Parisian high school. He's determined to keep his two lives - at home and at school - completely separate.
