The Count, accompanied by Lucy and Renfield, travels from Transylvania to Scotland by train to overcome his many fears and visit his maker's castle. Upon arrival, he befriends two local undertakers, Godalming and Stewart, and their teenage daughter Flora, who is attracted to the undead. The Count and Lucy become smitten with Flora and crave a daughter of their own. As the story unfolds, the happy band of dead and near-dead take advantage of Godalming and Stewart's hospitality, leading to a delightfully comic tale.

A pair of companions, Lucy and Renfield, embark on a train ride from Transylvania to Scotland to assist the Count in conquering his deep-seated fears, which include aversion to sunlight, crosses, bibles, running water, garlic, and certain foods and drinks.
