During the Japanese invasion of China, a Chinese soldier named Gao seeks revenge against the visiting Japanese commander. Gao encounters a local Mafia led by charismatic leader Fang, who has a lifelong bond with his followers, including his sister. After Gao is captured and almost killed by Fang, he is saved by Fang's sister and later redeems himself by saving the Mafia from a bank robbery gone wrong. Gao and Fang then form an unlikely partnership to take down the Japanese commander, exploring themes of friendship, loyalty, and brotherhood.
