Derek Ramsay's character Julian is searching for a Filipino translator to learn the language for personal reasons. After a series of interviews, he hires Jennylyn Mercado's character Tere, and they develop a close friendship as they share their respective love stories, which are marked by misfortune. As Tere grows closer to Julian, she finds herself falling for him, only to discover that he may be rekindling his relationship with his ex-girlfriend, the reason he initially sought out a translator.
