On a flight to Hong Kong, a charming smuggler Tony Dumont becomes smitten with a novelist Pamela Vincent. However, their budding romance is disrupted when the plane is hijacked and diamonds are stolen. Unbeknownst to Pamela, Tony is the mastermind behind the smuggling operation, and his obsession with her leads him to double-cross his partners. He follows Pamela to San Francisco, only to be rebuffed, and now he must evade both the police and his former associates as he returns to Macao.
