Getting Straight

Harry Bailey is a soon-to-be graduate with a Master's degree in Education, aiming to secure a teaching certificate and shape young minds. However, his past as a renowned student activist and Vietnam War veteran has given him a new perspective on a stable future. He faces financial struggles, juggling tuition, rent, food, and car expenses, leading him to take shortcuts, including asking friends to take tests for him. As he navigates these two weeks, he must confront his desire for a conservative teaching career versus his activist friends' calls to return to activism, a conflict reflected in his relationship with Jan, whose individual and potential future goals may be incompatible.
