A South American diver named Rico uncovers the Paracan idol, a treasure with sun and moon eyes, and believes he's found the key to a vast fortune. He shares his discovery with Manco, who's sweet on Rico's daughter Pele, but Manco's greed gets the better of him and he cuts Rico's lifeline, sending him to a watery grave. The idol, now missing its eyes, falls into the hands of TV adventurer Roger Bristol, who joins forces with his son Robin and secretary Anne Stevens to find the lost treasure.
