A disillusioned young father, Joe Peters, abandons his family after being reassigned from the hardware department to playing Santa at a department store. Feeling resentful towards his wife's desire to earn a living, Joe's frustration boils over. However, while in his Santa role, he unexpectedly reunites with his daughter and gains a deeper understanding of her true Christmas wishes.
