Henry Dodd, a young man, loses his job at a gas station and his wife throws him out. He becomes a TV spokesman for a tycoon, Rex Madden, and his questionable business ventures. Henry falls in love with Bonnie, who encourages him to pursue his dreams. However, Rex tries to separate the couple, teach Henry to be macho, and transform him into a "Real Man".
