Random Acts of Theatre Company (RATCo) is a home for young people who don't fit into traditional norms. Against the backdrop of poverty and segregation in Selma, Alabama, RATCo's young people are breaking free from societal expectations. The film highlights Semaj, Tori, and Macio, who defy norms by pursuing their passions despite societal pressures. Semaj is a bright student, Tori is a charming and raw performer, and Macio expresses himself through dance. The film follows RATCo's journey to New York City, where they share their stories through an original show. Along the way, they discover their own voices and a sense of purpose.
