A young couple, driven by a desire to discover their true purpose, embark on a journey of self-discovery and rebellion. Román, son of a conservative congressman, enrolls in a new high school and attempts to take his own life on stage during the talent show. Maru, the only one to applaud, earns them both detention. As they bond during their punishment, they steal a Volkswagen and set off on a road trip with no destination in mind, leaving their past and worries behind.
