Bobby O'Brien, a former I.R.A. member, is haunted by memories of his mother's death in a Belfast skirmish. He's disillusioned with the modern I.R.A.'s lack of power and protection, and seeks to continue the fight. After his best friend Mick is murdered by a U.D.A. member, Bobby seeks revenge, killing the young man. Now, he's on the run from the I.R.A., U.D.A., and British Intelligence, who want him dead for a past incident. His only hope for redemption lies with his past lover, Maggie, who must convince a retired I.R.A. fighter, Seamus, to stop Bobby before it's too late.
