A warrior driven by a burning desire for vengeance traverses the boundaries of time to rectify past injustices.
In 1865, an assassin named Izo serves a Tosa lord and Imperial supporter, taking out dozens of Shogun's men. After being captured and crucified, Izo's rage propels him through time to modern-day Tokyo, where he becomes one with the city's homeless.
