Lightnin' Bill Carson background

Lightnin' Bill Carson

A retired lawman's lingering doubts about the guilt of a notorious outlaw force him to re-investigate the case, leading to a shocking revelation that could set a wrongly accused man free.

A group of outlaws, led by Stone, rob a stagecoach, and in the ensuing chaos, Deputy Bates is killed by Breed Hawkins. Stone then convinces a drunken Pecos Kid that he committed the crime. Meanwhile, Bill Carson obtains a confession from Breed, but it arrives too late, as the Kid has already been hanged by the Sheriff and his posse. The Kid's brother seeks revenge by killing the posse and Sheriff, prompting Bill to set out to confront him.
