Anna's life is turned upside down when her ex-husband's child from another woman is left in her care after his death. Struggling to come to terms with her failed marriage, Anna neglects her own mother and child. However, she finds solace in a new relationship with a businessman who has a child of his own, and becomes pregnant with his child. As she navigates her new life, Anna's 11-year-old son, Xi, grapples with his feelings towards his mother, who he believes is selfish and irresponsible.
