A group of stuntmen at a Hollywood studio, known as the "Lucky Devils," believe that a stuntman makes a poor husband and a husband makes a poor stuntman. This philosophy is put to the test when Slugger Jones, a newlywed stuntman, is killed during his final stunt. Skipper Clark and Bob Hughes prevent a suicidal woman, Fran, from taking her own life and help her land an acting job at the studio.
