In the future, a villainous mutant super-genius, Professor Brainwave, seeks to steal the Earth, controlled by the giant one-eyed brain, the Galactic Mastermind. Matt Mercury and his Rocket Rangers must stop Brainwave's plan, while Mercury also faces personal struggles with his girlfriend, Mulkress Dunner, a half-human, half-house cat, who is kidnapped along with the Earth.
