Chris, a new East Coast resident, is encouraged by his workaholic father to make new friends. He finds companionship through football practice and meets his cute neighbor Mara. They embark on a mission to liberate mistreated animals from a local fair, but get caught by the ringleader Malick. Chris must then find a way to keep a lovable monkey, Momo, he accidentally brought home from the fair, out of sight.
