Nikolai "Montana" Umansky, a former gangster, is released from jail and invited to Moscow by his friend Viktor, a wealthy businessman. Viktor asks Nikolai to "send someone to the forefathers" in the USA, promising a share in a large company if he completes the task. However, upon returning to the motel, Nikolai's accomplice Rodriguez tries to kill him, revealing the task was a setup.
