Shabbir, a soldier, is deployed in the Thar desert and teaches children during the day. He forms a bond with a local woman, Nandni, who reminds him of his own mother. When Shabbir is injured by Govind, Nandni takes him in and cares for him until he recovers. Shabbir honors Nandni as his own mother and eventually stops Govind from crossing the border again. He then resigns from his post, citing a reason that Nandni reveals to his boss.
