Murder on the Yukon background

Murder on the Yukon

In the Canadian wilderness, a gruesome murder sets off a frantic manhunt as two Mounties relentlessly track down a merciless killer and his accomplices to a remote cabin, leading to a thrilling confrontation.

A counterfeiting ring is secretly operated by Weathers, a trading post partner of Joan Manning. He pays off miner Jim Smithers with fake money for his gold dust, and when Jim's brother Bill arrives, Weathers sends his henchman Hawks to kill Jim and retrieve the counterfeit bills. When Jim's body is found, RCMP Sergeant Renfrew and Constable Kelly start investigating, suspecting counterfeiting after Bill's supposed suicide. Kelly is captured by Weathers' gang, but Renfrew is hot on his trail.
