In a crowded ghetto, Nasir, a middle-aged salesman, lives a contented life with his family. He works hard at an apparel shop and is known for his humor and poetry. On Sundays, he recites his own compositions, inspired by 1960s Hindi film songs, to his coworkers. Despite his love for life, Nasir's world is threatened by increasing communal bigotry.
