Carl, a worn-out caregiver, is thrilled to finally be free from his demanding bedridden uncle Derek. However, his joy is short-lived as he soon discovers Derek is still alive, having played another one of his infamous pranks. As family members arrive to pay their respects, Carl is torn between revealing the truth or allowing Derek to continue his charade, which ultimately leads him to consider making Derek truly deceased.
