Two U.S. Marshals, Dave Willis and Sandy Barrett, go undercover to investigate the theft of Mexican Government gold. They rescue Kathy Martin from an outlaw ambush and later her father, Joel Martin, is killed. Accused of the murder, Dave reveals his true identity as a U.S. Ranger and is cleared. He then faces threats from various outlaws, including Roger Bigsby, who is secretly leading the gang, and Sonny Lang, a notorious gunman hired to eliminate Dave.
