Pecos Bill, a man of the American Desert, is raised by a family of coyotes after falling from a wagon as an infant. He grows up to become a skilled survivor, befriending a horse named Widowmaker after rescuing him from buzzards. However, his relationship with Widowmaker is tested when he falls in love with Slue Foot Sue and plans to marry her, only to face complications when he offers her a ride on his horse.
