Bill Cody, a driven young man, seizes the opportunity to prove himself when the Pony Express rider is incapacitated after an Indian attack, courageously assuming the vital role of mail delivery.

Bill Cody, determined to ride for the Pony Express, starts as a station hand instead, hoping to eventually get his chance. After a rider is shot in an Indian attack, Cody seizes the opportunity to deliver vital mail, braving further ambushes and a destroyed station, before finally reaching Fort Churchill, Nevada and helping deliver news of Abraham Lincoln's election in record time.
