Two childhood friends, Rahmat and Anugerah, chase their dreams of stardom, despite Anugerah's father's disapproval of the entertainment industry. After running away from home, they try their luck in Jakarta, but their aspirations stall as they're stuck waiting tables and cooking in a restaurant. However, their fortunes change when they meet Roni, an audience coordinator, and Bayu, on the set of a popular talk show, "Kembang Gula" or "Candy".
