Brady, a shy and introspective 18-year-old, moves to a coastal town with his mother, who is setting up a Christian school. He spends his days on the beach, reading the Bible and reflecting on his life. When he meets his neighbor's free-spirited son Clifford, he is drawn to him and they begin to form a bond. Despite their instant attraction, Brady struggles with his feelings due to his devoutly Christian beliefs.
