Rockinghorse

The film follows Ami Sus'etz, an Israeli artist who returns to his homeland after years of absence, leaving behind his wife and daughter in New York. Haunted by feelings of failure, he seeks to understand himself as a human being, a family man, and an artist.

Israeli artist Ami Sus'etz returns to his homeland after years, seeking answers to his feelings of failure as a family man, artist, and human being. He reunites with his dying father, struggling mother, and childhood friend Ansberg, a philosopher/homeless man who seeks to bring love back to Tel Aviv. As Sus'etz tries to resolve his personal fate, he decides to make a movie about himself, his parents, and the puzzle of human life. Despite failing to provide answers, the film unexpectedly becomes a commercial success, only to be ironically burned, just like his previous paintings.
