A baritone opera singer leaves his successful season to return to his western ranch, where he discovers a fraudulent sale of part of his land to a young woman and her annoying brother. Pretending to be the foreman, he allows them to believe they're the owners while secretly working to expose the swindlers. The villains, a pair of brothers, try to buy the land back, but Barry outsmarts them and ends up winning the land and the young woman's heart, except for her tiresome brother.
