In December 1989, two music aficionados traveled to rural Mississippi to preserve the region's blues heritage, recording local musicians on cassette tapes and capturing their performances on Super-VHS footage.

Two Dutch music enthusiasts, Ko de Korte and Tom Haarsma, embarked on a journey to Mississippi in December 1989 to capture rural blues musicians playing their traditional music.
