In 1590, Japan is on the brink of unification under Hideyoshi Toyotomi following the death of warlord Nobunaga Oda. However, a defiant force in the Kanto region, led by TenmaOh, a former Nobunaga ally, threatens to disrupt the process. Sutenosuke rescues a woman from TenmaOh's group and seeks shelter at a brothel district, where he meets Mukaiya Ranbe. As people are drawn to the region by fate, Sutenosuke and Ranbe's shared past and connection to TenmaOh are revealed, along with the latter's dark ambition. With seven souls, Sutenosuke sets out to destroy the Dokujo Castle and stop TenmaOh's plans, despite being vastly outnumbered by 20,000 soldiers.
