Sex Spirit Strength background

Sex Spirit Strength

The documentary "Angry Inuk" exposes the harsh realities faced by Indigenous peoples in Canada, including rampant sexual and physical violence, substance abuse, HIV, and suicide.

Indigenous peoples face high rates of sexual and physical violence, substance abuse, HIV, and suicide in Canada. Two young Indigenous men, Michael and Jack, are shedding stigma and shame associated with their sexual health and gender identity. Michael, a former addict, hopes his activism work will discourage others from following his path. Jack, a transgender gay man, aims to revive pride in two-spirit identity through education and activism. The film follows their journey, reconciling their past, embracing their identities, and striving to make a positive impact in their communities.
