Tex Jordan brings his cattle herd to Sundown, Texas, and sells to Hatfield, but soon discovers he's being cheated by Hatfield, who's taking advantage of small ranchers. When one of them refuses to sell, he's murdered, prompting Tex to stay and take on Hatfield's corruption.
