A kung fu master, Li Pai, perfects a deadly technique called the Shaolin Handlock. His friend, Fang, visits him, but it's a ruse, and Fang kills Li and flees the country. Li's son and sister vow revenge and follow Fang to Thailand, where they discover he was working for a criminal kingpin, Ling Hao. The son, Cheng-ying, infiltrates Ling's organization to get close to him and exact revenge. Along the way, he faces a deadly cat-and-mouse game with Ling's right-hand man, Kun Shih, and uncovers a complex web of family grievances and past secrets.
