Retiring Sheriff Horne pursues the Sawyer brothers after they rob a bank, but they use their childhood friendship to try to get a break. When they're captured, they escape on foot, with the younger brother, Reese, taunting the sheriff and warning him that his father, Ross Sawyer, will soon rescue him.
