In 2003, the Brockton Boxers from Massachusetts and the Fredericton Canadiens from New Brunswick faced off in a junior hockey tournament in Montréal, despite initial reservations stemming from global tensions following the US-led invasion of Iraq.

Two junior hockey teams, the Boxers from Brockton, MA and the Canadiens from Fredericton, NB, face anti-US sentiments at a 2003 Montréal tournament. The Boxers' star forward Michael Carver's brother is set to deploy to Iraq, causing tension within the team. Meanwhile, Canadiens player Jordan Martin, 12, is upset by the treatment of the American team and decides to take action to bridge the gap between the teams.
