A meteor shower devastates the Lunar Base Ark, leaving Colonel Gerard Brauchman no choice but to dispatch Ava Cameron to repair a damaged wing filled with toxic carbon monoxide. As Dr. Lance Krauss cautions, the gas may trigger paranoia and hallucinations. Unbeknownst to Krauss, Ava's exposure to the meteor's spores, attached to a sample she brought for analysis, sets off a chain reaction. After cutting her finger on the sample, Ava becomes pregnant and gives birth to an alien offspring. As the crew struggles to comprehend the situation, Brauchman and Krauss begin to question Ava's sanity.
