A U.S. Marshal, traveling undercover, is forced to rob a stagecoach by a masked man. He then takes control of a ranch, despite opposition from a rival gang leader. The Marshal's partner arrives just in time to save his life in a shootout with the gang. The Marshal and a ranch hand are eventually caught and jailed for the stage robbery.
