In a neglected duplex, nine-year-old Savannah, a shy and overweight girl, struggles to find her place at home and in her neighborhood, where she's constantly rejected by the boys. In her daily wanderings, she's drawn to the sounds of a feral cat outside at night, and begins to search for it amidst the post-industrial ruins that surround her.
