Tableau Vivant of the Delirium Constructions - Skylight One Hanson, 2011

A massive art installation, created by artist Sarah Small and her team over a two-year period, was unveiled at the Skylight One Hanson building, a former Williamsburg Savings Bank, in 2011.

The Tableau Vivant performance, "The Delirium Constructions," was mounted at the Skylight One Hanson on May 23rd and 24th, 2011. This ambitious project, led by Sarah Small, explored the ritual of marriage, a theme rich in symbolism and intimacy. The performance featured a 120-participant cast, with Small acting as the legal officiant for three couples - two weddings and a vow renewal ceremony - while simultaneously directing the Tableau Vivant cast in their own explorations of the theme.
