Ten years after producing the short film "Tap Heat", we wanted to showcase the resurgence of traditional tap dancing globally. The feature-length documentary "Tap World" highlights how this uniquely American art form has gained new life through international dancers and audiences. Building on the success of "Tap Heat", we invited dancers, choreographers, and companies from around the world to participate, receiving 114 submissions from 13 countries, including the U.S. We sought not only to showcase their dancing skills but also to share their personal stories.
Tap World
A new project, "Tap World", is underway, a decade after the release of "Tap Heat", a short film that showcased traditional and contemporary tap dance. The new endeavor shines a light on the innovative and creative approaches of a new generation of dancers.
